This Day in Sports History - 6/13/2006
Sparked by Dwyane Wade's 42 points and 13 rebounds, the Heat rally from a 13-point deficit with six minutes left in the fourth quarter to nip the Dallas Mavericks, 98-96, in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. Heading into the game, the Heat trailed two games to none in the series. They'll go on to win the next three games and the first NBA championship in the history of the franchise. Wade, who averages 34.7 ppg. in Games 3 -6, is the series MVP. It's the fifth NBA title for coach Pat Riley.
