First-Baseman Adam LaRoche signed a 2 year $16 million contract with the Washington Nationals. The Nationals have already signed RF Jayson Werth and LaRoche will replace Adam Dunn at 1st. LaRoche has averaged 23 Home-Runs/Year in his career and is a better defender than Dunn. Look for the Nationals to improve this year and possibly contend in 2012.
