The two teams combine for 10 turnovers on six interceptions and four fumbles. The winning Colts commit six of the turnovers, three of them on interceptions. Colts quarterbacks Johnny Unitas and Earl Morrall, and the Cowboys' Craig Morton combine to complete just 22 passes in 50 attempts. Baltimore ties the score 13 - 13 on a two-yard run by running back Tom Nowatzke with 7:35 left on the clock. With 1:09 remaining, Morton throws an interception to Baltimore linebacker Mike Curtis, who returns it 13 yards to the Dallas 28. As time expires, rookie kicker Jim O'Brien boots a 32-yard field goal to win.

This Day in Sports History - 5/6/1984
Rookie guard Derek Harper of the Mavericks loses his focus in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Los Angeles Lakers in Dallas. With six seconds remaining and the score tied, Harper takes a pass from Dale Ellis. He thinks the Mavericks are up by one point and dribbles out the clock. The Lakers go on to beat the Mavericks in overtime, 122-115, and win the series four games to one. Harper shakes off the embarrassment and plays 17 seasons in the NBA.

This Day in Sports History - 1/16/2002
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban works for a day at a Dairy Queen. Cuban had unleashed one of his frequent tirades about NBA officiating and the league's manager of officials, Ed T. Rush, who he insisted "wouldn't be able to manage a Dairy Queen." Offended by the remark, Dairy Queen invited Cuban to fill in for a day at a franchise in Coppell, Texas.
